Mission description

The consultant will work with development teams in order to create or modify critical application systems that support multiple business domains.

Concrete tasks :

  • Develop application components.
  • Contribute towards designing parts of applications (in close collaboration with technical lead or senior developers).


Technical knowledge (Must have) :

  • Technical knowledge and practical experience of required technologies to be able to start development right away
  • J2SE/J2EE experience and having knowledge of Open Source tools and libraries.


Technologies :


  • Spring Framework.
  • JPA (with Hibernate and spring).
  • Spring Security.
  • Soap Web Services using Apache CXF.
  • RESTfull Web Services using Apache CXF.
  • Java Batch (with Spring Batch)
  • Test driven development (Junit & Spring & CI, Arquillian)
  • Web Frontend (JSF, Spring WebFlow)
  • Tooling (IntelliJ, Svn or Git, Maven, Bamboo & Sonar)
  • HTML/CSS/JavaScript/Angular.



  • Application Design
  • Design of SOAP endpoints
  • Design of RESTFul endpoints


Work Methods:

  • team-oriented (Scrum/Kanban)
  • BPMN, documentation
  • SDLC (project management oriented)


Extra plus:

  • Experience in applying AOP.
  • Experience with Apache Camel.
  • Experience with message driven beans (by preference by using Spring JMS).





  • Preferably a degree in IT
  • At least 3 years of experience in a relevant role
  • French + Dutch speaking (1 fluent, 1 passive knowledge)
  • Able to deliver well documented and tested application code in English
  • Able to deliver design and technical documentation in English
  • Team-player
  • Strong communication skills
